The Manchester PA of the Year Awards 2016

We brought the sparkle to Manchester at the 2016 Manchester PA Awards

Winners announced for the 2016 Manchester PA of the Year Awards

On October 27th 2016 ITV’s Emma Jesson hosted the 2016 Manchester PA of the Year Awards at The Palace Hotel in Manchester, celebrating the outstanding work performed by secretarial and business support professionals in the North West.

The event raised £5,000.00 for the Christie Charity and fundraising efforts included a diamond raffle featuring a .25 carat diamond necklace donated by Paul Granelli Jewellers in Bramhall. The Awards’ fundraising coincides with the launch of the charity’s new campaign “I Did It For The Christie”.

Entertainment was provided by the Halle Youth Orchestra, The Voice’s Eli Cripps and Make Events’ house band 4YP.

We’ve been delighted to see so much support for the Awards this year. After a very successful original launch in 2015 that exceeded our expectations we have seen a huge increase in interest this year as well, both in terms of entrants and support from sponsors. We’re confident that next year will see the awards continue to grow, particularly as employers continue to recognise the vital role support professionals play in making the business a success.

The Winners in each category were as follows:

  • Star of the Future – Clarece Maher, OneE Group

  • Brand Champion – Debbie Grimshaw, Brother UK

“We are hugely proud of the success of these awards and we would like to congratulate the winners and to thank everyone who entered. The standard of entrants was extremely high this year and we are aware that the judges struggled to choose the winners in each category.”

“Working in partnership with the Manchester PA Network, the awards are an opportunity for us to continue to celebrate the vital work secretarial professionals do in supporting the success of businesses in the region.”

The Awards, sponsored by Make Events (key sponsor), Emirates Airlines, Gaucho, The Palace Hotel, PZ Cussons, Gusto, Pitman Training and Eclectic Hotels, are now in their second year with the Manchester PA network and Robert Walters acting as the Executive Committee.
