How I got involved in the MPAN?
After 15 years working in the hospitality and event sector I set up Make Events. I had worked at a venue, client side and for an agency which is rare for an Events company owner. I felt knowing all these elements of an event inside out meant I could bring something different to the market. This is how I met the MPAN and they asked me to sponsor an event. The rest you could say is history and I became a board member in 2013. However at the end of 2014 I stepped down, I was suffering with overwhelm and didn't think I was contributing enough. However during 2015 I developed two of my team to take on some domestic and professional PA duties for me. So when Mel and Amanda asked me to return to the board in Jan 2016, I jumped at the chance knowing I could contribute fully.
I live and breath my work. Make Events specialise in corporate events (awards, parties, conferences, celebrations and FREE venue finding both nationally and internationally) and we are always happy to help any member of the Manchester PA Network. Please drop me a line even if its just for advice on your next event.
Eat, sleep, train, repeat!
Away from work I live in Wilmslow with my husband and our beautiful dog Elvis Percy Moore! I am addicted to exercise and that's the one thing that never gets cancelled from the diary. It's amazing for mental health and when you are always eating out like me - you need to cancel out the food tastings! I am big into brunch and love places like The Yard, The Garden in Hale and Nourish.
Let's raise lots of money and have lots of fun!
I love being a part of MPAN and look forward to raising more money this year and networking with all you inspiring ladies!
