About Amanda:

I have worked at PZ Cussons' head office since August 2014 as EA to the CEO, CFO and Global HR Director it was a big change for me leaving behind the City Centre of Manchester and I wasn't sure how much I would miss the City and how I would manage carrying on running the Manchester PA Network alongside Mel.  In actual fact it was the best decision I ever made and I absolutely love my job although running the network is a bit more difficult I am managing just fine.

Working with great people, great brands (Imperial Leather, Carex, Sanctuary Spa and St Tropez to name a few of our portfolio) really makes coming to work a pleasure I also never run of out self tan or shower gel, and there aren't many days I struggle to get up in the morning and I am not just saying it I feel truely lucky to have the job I do.  No day is ever the same in our head office and there are challenging times but that's all part of the job of an EA and it would boring if every day was the same.  I was very lucky to travel to our Nigerian office and am looking forward to my first visit to Indonesia and Singapore later in 2017.

The network celebrated it's 5th birthday last year and what a crazy but brilliant five years it has been, watching it grow from 50 to 700 members has just been incredible, we've raised so much money for The Christie and exceeeded our own expectations.  I feel so lucky everytime I attend one of our events that we are still succesful and that we are still getting new members joining us.  Bringing the PA of the year awards to Manchester was an absolute hightlight for me it was the most incredible atmosphere and being able to recognise some of the work our wonderful members do was an honour.

I now sit on the regional advisory Board for the EPAA and proud to be a part of something so incredible for PA's all over the Country.  I also in 2016 was lucky to take home a WATC Rising Star Award it was a real honour to be honoured amongst some wonderful women.

In my spare time (which is a little limited!!) I am a dedicated gym bunny, I am part of our great team of Manchester PA Network runners who take part in the Manchester 10K.  I love shopping, travel and good food and ocassionally the odd glass or two of red wine.

About Mel:

I have now worked for Citation since December 2013 and I love my job.  Working within the private equity world brings a whole different world of knowledge to the business world and how companies work and having the opportunity to work with an executive team to build a multimillion pound company definitely keeps me interested.  Every day there is a difference challenge.

Outside of work there isn’t much down time for me.  I have my twin boys, Pearse and Beau who are now four… where did the time go.  They bring laughter and joy to my life every day.

I am also on the National Board for EPAA which is bringing a different angle to the PA profession and looking at ways to make our profession one that we are proud of and getting people to understand just how much we can bring to our businesses.

Another role I have taken on and am in my third year is YPO Chapter Admin.  This is a harder role to explain but I help the organisation to bring a network for CEO, Business Entrepeurs together from across the Pennine region.  This has given me a lot of opportunities to see how the CEO think and what they benefit from.  It has also given me an opportunity to travel to Dubai and at the end of this month San Diego.  Last but not least is my passion, which is the Manchester PA Network.

It is an absolutely honour to be one of the co-founders of the Manchester PA Network.  To be part of something that has gone from strength to strength, not only with more than 700 members but to have achieved a successful second year of the Manchester PA Awards, raised over £70,000 for The Christie, met so many inspirational PA’s along the way and built friendships… wow.

2017 is set to be another busy year with more focus on hitting our £100k target, completing my pledge to walk the three peaks in 24 hours and to organise some awesome events for our members to attend.

On a personal note, I feel I have been very fortunate to be involved in so many wonderful things and I would like to thank our members for all their support
